$400,000 Lamborghini Gallardo Blows Up (9.25.11)

by LamboFan

Blown Up Lamborghini Gallardo

The Lamborghini Gallardo shown burst into flames near Bukit Damansara, Indonesia at 11:50am 9.23.11.

The owner, who remains unnamed managed to escape without any problems. As for the Lamborghini, it was not as lucky. The mint condition Gallardo blew up, leaving it in very downside condition. It’s value, of course, is worth over $400,000, not something great to lose.

The owner told he was warming up near Jalan Beringin when he noticed clouds of smoke coming out from the bonnet of the car.

“I was driving up a slope at Jalan Beringin when I noticed smoke coming out from the engine bay.

“I stopped the car and got off and then it suddenly burst into flames,” the owner said, adding that he has had possession of the super car for three years and was extremely heartbroken to see it go in flames. The owner believed a fuel leak could have caused the wreck.

Lamborghini Aventador Makes Debut

by LamboFan

Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4

Here we have it. The all new Lamborghini Aventador. This is the beast we’ve been waiting for, finally here. The new Lamborghini has been finally been released, yet prior to that, it’s already been sold out! For just $379,700, you could’ve brought it home. Little to late to buy now, as you can see.

Boasting just 3,472 pounds, it is made out of carbon fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP), brand new materials to Lamborghini. The power on the Lambo comes from a 6.5 liter V12 with an ouput of 700 PS *690 bhp) and 509 lb-ft of torque. The new gearbox is a 7-speed independent shift rod transmission supplied by Graziano Trasmissioni Group featuring just 50 millisecond shift times. The LP700-4 Aventador also has an intriguing Haldex all-wheel drive system.

I realized it sounds much like an Audi R8 – which does make sense knowing Lamborghini is owned and operated by Audi.

What are your thoughts? Do you think they made the right move?
